January 8, 2005, my father was hospitalized for a heart disorder. After a battery of tests, doctors told him that he needed a triple by-pass, which would be done at the Institut de Cardiologie. During his stay, before the surgery, my father becames infected with the C.difficile bacteria. The bacteria vanished one week prior to the surgery. On February 8, the surgery was completed with success as announced by the team of doctors, pleased to deliver such good news! Two days later, the C.difficile is back and the next day, my father was dead.
I do not recommend this hospital to any one. There is general negligence in the cleaning of the rooms which are filthy. Garbage cans are placed just beside the patient’s bed without any cover. On the third floor, patients coming out from an isolation rooms, are placed together in the same room.
