WORLD MRSA DAY

E-mail Print
Friday, October 2nd, was World MRSA Day. MRSA, or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, is nasty business. MRSA is prevalent in most healthcare facilities and patients are colonized and infected with MRSA due to lapses in infection control. It is considered by the CDC (Center for Control Diseases in Atlanta) as the most important cause of hospital-acquired infections in the States.

MRSA Survivors Network, the official organization for WORLD MRSA DAY, Oct. 2nd and WORLD MRSA AWARENESS MONTH - OCTOBER is dedicated to raising awareness, educate and to prevent MRSA infections across the globe by promoting how we can together stop this disease. The event will  give MRSA survivors a voice and their stories will be told and raise awareness as we come together to stop MRSA.
